Consistent with God’s Word, some things must go as new things come!  The New relates to our putting on “ a true knowledge according to the image of the  One who created him — ”!  It goes on to note that  “Christ is all, and in all.”  There’s a theme here that Centers Us on Christ!

Col 3:8-11    But now you also, put them all aside:   anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth.  9  Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices,  10  and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him —  11  a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.

Our Prayer:
Help us Father, to consider diligently the old and the new.   May we also think most carefully on “Putting Off”,  and  “Putting On.”  Help us to always walk in newness of life.  Help us that all of our being  will be focused on our Lord.  Give us a joyful serving of  You in Christ Jesus.  In the name of Jesus,    Amen.
